Our Shipping Process
We package and ship your order as soon as possible. We start working on your order immediately, so we are unable to make any changes or modifications to an order after it has been placed.
Orders are subject to verification and approval before shipping and may take several days to process. While we will do all we can to ensure your order is delivered on time, UrbanOutfitters.com cannot be held responsible for conditions beyond our control such as severe weather, service interruptions, etc.
You will be charged when your order, or a portion of your order, has shipped. You will only be charged for the items that are shipped, along with applicable shipping and tax rates. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email.
Furniture & Oversize Item Shipping
Our furniture and oversize items ship to you by delivery carrier or by a furniture delivery company. Due to the size, weight or special care needed, these items may require a carrier handling surcharge or a flat-rate delivery fee. Additional fees will be noted on the product detail page for each item. See below for more information.
Some furniture and oversize items take 1 to 3 weeks to arrive once shipped. Made-to-order items may take additional time.

Some of our items that ship via standard ground services may require a handling surcharge by the carrier due to the size, weight or special care needed to ship the item. The fee applies to each quantity of an item in your order and is in addition to any other applicable shipping fees.

Many of our furniture and select oversized items are delivered by a furniture delivery company for a flat-rate shipping fee. No matter how many items eligible for Flat-Rate Truck Delivery you place in a single order, your qualifying items will be delivered together by furniture delivery truck for a flat-rate fee. This fee applies only to the qualifying items in your order. Additional shipping fees may apply to other items in your order.
Please be sure to include all pertinent shipping information at Checkout like your apartment, floor or building number so the delivery team can delivery your items to you. The delivery company will call to schedule your appointment. Standard delivery hours are between 8AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

We provide three types of Flat-Rate Truck Delivery services:
Over the Threshold Delivery
The furniture delivery team will deliver your items inside your residence and place them in your immediate entryway. This does not include furniture setup or debris removal. Once your items are with the carrier, you will receive an email about how to schedule your delivery.
Over the Threshold delivery items purchased with White Glove Delivery items will automatically be upgraded and delivered via our White Glove service at no additional fee.
White Glove Delivery
Includes item delivery to your room of choice, as well as unpacking, assembly (excluding select styles including large lighting, mirrors, wall décor and hanging furniture) and debris removal. Once your items are with the carrier, you will receive an email about how to schedule your delivery.
Please clear the space where furniture or rugs will be placed prior to delivery. The delivery professionals are not permitted to move any existing furniture or move or set up electrical equipment.
Doorstep Delivery
Available for eligible items at a lower Flat-Rate Truck Delivery fee and includes in-box delivery to your front door. There is no need to schedule a delivery or provide a signature. You will receive an email notifying you of your scheduled Doorstep Delivery date 1 to 2 days prior to delivery. For multi-unit buildings, items will be placed in a secure lobby area or left with a building attendant. Please note, you are responsible for bringing items into your home. Assembly and debris removal are not included.
Doorstep Delivery items purchased with Over the Threshold or White Glove Delivery items will automatically be upgraded at no additional fee.

Certain items such as hairspray, nail polish remover, nail polish and items containing lithium batteries are required by the US Department of Transportation to be shipped via a ground service. Orders with these shipping requirements cannot be shipped outside of the contiguous US or via Rush or Express shipping methods. Items with special shipping requirements will be noted on the product detail page in the Shipping + Returns section.
