The Lemnos Earth is made from diatomaceous earth and produced using a traditional Japanese plastering technique. The design, as directed by award-winning designer Yuichi Nara, maximizes the feature and atmosphere of the diatomaceous earth, which brings warmth when touched. Lemnos Earth suits a natural-material interior as well as a modern atmosphere with a simple and calm temperament. SiO2, the logo displayed on the clock, is the chemical symbol of the main component of diatomaceous earth. It adds a fun, contemporary design element to this clock.
