We are now giving customers the option of using their mobile phone number to sign in to their Urban Outfitters account. Using your mobile phone number instead of a password is a quick and easy way to sign in. Your security and safety are important to us and using a verified mobile phone number instead of a password helps us ensure the only person able to access your UO account is you. Plus – you won’t have to remember a password!

Currently, adding a mobile phone number to your account is optional. While doing this is optional, we really recommend it to improve the security of your account and create a more seamless shopping experience.

Once a verified mobile phone number has been added to your UO account, you will use that number to sign in and are no longer able to use a password.

We send verification codes from the phone number 837439. That number may be blocked on your mobile phone. Please check Settings > Messages > Blocked Contacts to ensure that 837439 is not blocked. If this number is blocked, you should receive your verification code after unblocking it. If that number is not blocked, please contact us to receive your verification code.

Need to update your mobile phone number? No problem – sign in to your account with your email address. We’ll email you a one-time verification code to use to sign in. Once you are in your UO account, go to My Account to edit your Mobile Number.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to create a UO account with a landline or VOIP phone number. You can still shop and check out as a guest.
