Meet Edeline Chen, Creative Director for UO Womens. Coming from NYC, she moved to UO's hometown of Philadelphia.
Edeline invites us into her space to talk all things cozy, how she keeps her space zen, and how
it's Lilac's (her dog) world and we're all just living in it!
What makes a space a home to you?
Cozy lights and Lilac's comfort.
I'm all about lots of little lights set to super warm tones - yellows, oranges.
And how Lilac feels in a space (and with people, honestly) is my immediate gauge on whether
or not i'll be jazzed to be there. She's a pretty cozy girl, so if she's feeling unenthused, the vibes are probably not awesome. If she feels safe, so do I.
More importantly, what does Lilac need to feel at home?
She loves a platform near a window so she can observe the world. And there has to be at least one super grippy surface for her zoomies - a yoga mat usually suffices.
Most importantly, she needs a cool, dark corner where she can hide from the heat - she' s a real winter girlie.
How did the UO Home pieces accentuate the vibe that you curated for your space?
Like my lighting, I prefer warm tones in my furniture. My furniture is mostly vintage rattan and wood, so naturally, I fell in love with the Tulip Room Divider Screen and the Bloom Storage Shelf.
Love a vintage femme moment with a touch of whimsy.
How do you want people to feel when they enter your space?
Peaceful - I set my space up to be a quiet escape from the world. I don't really entertain at home. When I have friends over, we're usually just debriefing, decompressing, and hiding from the world.
Maximum coziness at all times.
