Travis Spinks is a painter based in Brooklyn, New York. Working mainly in acrylics, his practice spans across fine art and reimagining clothing. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from The University of Texas at Austin, back in 2011,Travis spent much of his time in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he took influence from the skateboarding scene and graffiti culture.

Working on the iets frans… collection was incredible. It was fun working on the functional pieces and I'm happy that the proceeds will be going to a charity that helps people.
What is your art inspired by?
My art is inspired by motifs used in auto detailing, airbrushing, graffiti and the urban landscape.

When you’re not creating art, what are you doing?
You’ll find me riding my bike through the city or climbing at my local gym.

We've been a fan of Travis' work for a couple of years and we thought combining his spray illustrations with our sportswear pieces would create a standout collection. Travis has used his art to reinvent vintage and gorpcore product with the likes of Drake, seen last year performing in one of his jackets. So, we thought the collaboration would be an exciting drop for our iets frans… friends and followers.”
