Meet Tian Wang, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Temporary Collective
Get to know Tian Wang, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Temporary Collective. A sustainable unisex label inspired by Japanese streetwear, travel and creative collaboration.
“It all started in this studio with my boyfriend, Jack. We share this space with our friends who are artists, designers, illustrators and photographers and decided to form a collaborative collective; Temporary Collective was born. Both myself and Jack come from a designer background and always wanted to create a brand together. Inspired by our travels, especially Japanese art, culture and street style we started brainstorming, drawing, experimenting with paints and working with photos we’ve taken in Tokyo, Soul and Hong Kong. Our latest collection is a massive culture clash - East Meets West - with a neutral colour palette and strong painting element for Spring/Summer. We were lucky as we have good connections in the industry but if you’ve got an idea, go for it! Nothing is impossible - you don’t need a fashion design background to become a designer.”
