Curating iconic playlists for their local radio station, Chune Chums champions the best artists and celebrates a range of genres from jazz, funk, soul, R&B and rap. Meet Chune Chums
Who are Chune Chums?
We are a London based collective that like to champion upcoming artists from the UK & abroad. The musicians and artists that we celebrate tend to be within (but not limited to) the genres of soul, rnb, rap, jazz & funk. Follow us on instagram at @chunechums.
How and why did you start the collective?
It originally started as a group chat around six years ago where around 12 of us would just post and talk about music. Then three of us (Ash, Clive & myself, Jordan) decided to take things further and turn it into something that we share beyond our group of friends.
How can we listen to your playlist?
We have a couple of playlists, the first is our most popular called the ‘Monthly Jukebox’, which is made up of tracks that we’ve been wheeling over the past month. You can find a link to this one here.
The second is a playlist made up of the tracks that feature on our bi-weekly radio set on Run The Riddim radio which you can find a link to here.

We’ve got our first event coming up on Saturday 11th September at The Colour Factory in Hackney Wick.
Up and coming artists we should know about… there’s so many! You may already be aware of some too but if I had to choose a handful then I’d say: Hope Tala, Kofi Stone, Greentea Peng, Children of Zeus and Demae.
