SHEET is back and we want YOU, our UO Community, to help create our free in-store magazine. Sound good? Read on to find out how to get involved.
What is SHEET?
SHEET is a magazine created by the UO Community for the UO Community. Featuring a collaborative range of art, posters, prints and poems, SHEET is an eclectic mix of creative work, assembled together by our Graphics and Creative Marketing Teams at UO Head Office. Available for free in our stores, use SHEET to keep up to date with the latest goings on at UO, get inspired and repurpose the poster pages to decorate your space.
How can I get involved?
Are you a student, graphic designer, photographer or artist? Do you DJ, write poetry or illustrate? Then we wanna hear from you!
What’s the theme?
Issue 15 is all about JOURNEY. Ready to take a trip? This is your opportunity to get creative and explore what the word means to you. To get your brain tingling with ideas, start by thinking about past, present or future odysseys, life changing moments or opportunities and people or places that have helped guide you to today. Whatever you create, let your submission take us with you from A-B.
What are the submission guidelines?
SHEET is a print magazine therefore all work must be submitted in a printable format. Please submit high resolution JPEG or PDF files of at least 300dpi+. Artwork should fit within 323mm x 548mm.
The Opportunity
As well as featuring in the issue, you will have the exciting opportunity to feature in the magazine and on our social channels. All successful applicants will be required to submit a portrait (illustrated, photographed or painted - it’s up to you) and answer 3 questions about the theme. You’ll also have the chance to create a social video that will promote your work on @urbanoutfitterseu.
All work must be your own and not use or include any licensed imagery. Your submission will be rejected if it includes any of the below:
Offensive language
Inflammatory/defamatory content
Imagery of smoking or drug and alcohol use
Political symbols
By submitting your work you agree to featuring your work in an online gallery. No fee will be paid for this. If you do not wish to be featured please specify clearly when submitting.
Please email your submission to: sheet@urbanoutfitters.com along with your name and pronouns. Due to the quantity of submissions we will only be able to respond to successful applicants. All successful creatives will receive a fee for their submission.
