UO DIY - Macramé Pumpkin Hanger

Make your own macramé pumpkin hanger for Halloween. Simply watch and follow our step-by-step guide to create your own spooky decoration.
You'll need:
1 x Wooden ring
Craft Cord (min. 4mm thick)
Tape Measure
Pumpkin
Scissors
How To:

1) Cut a strand of yarn about 3x the length that you want the finished hanger to be.

2) Repeat 4 times so you have 4 long lengths of cord.

3) Fold your cords in half and feed through a wooden ring, making sure all lengths are the same.

4) Cut a shorter piece of cord.

5) Place it just below your wooden ring. Have the shorter side to the left and the longer side to the right.

6) Make a ‘V’ with your cord and use the long side to wrap around your ‘V’ leaving the bottom free.

7) Once you’ve wrapped down to the bottom of your ‘V’ loop the long cord inside the ‘V’ and pull the short cord at the top.

8) Trim the ends of your cord.

9) Take any 2 cords and tie a knot, repeat until you have 4 separate knots and make sure they are all the same distance from the top.

10) Take 2 adjacent knots, and 1 cord from each of those knots and tie them together.

11) Go around and make 4 knots and ensure they’re all at the same level.

Top tip: Make sure your pumpkin fits - if it doesn’t adjust your second row.

12) Make final knot below where your pumpkin will sit.

13) Insert your pumpkin and hang!
