What does Pride mean to you?
Pure love and proudness! No hiding, just celebrating.

Describe your art style in three words… colourful, playful and joyful.

Tell us about your art installation… “Rainbow of Love” is a mobile installation made out of different elements. All the single hanging components are shaped in abstract forms and are dyed with 10 colors to represent the LGBTQIA+ flag. Together, it forms a huge rainbow.

What or who influenced the installation?
Our colorful and unique community. In our community we are all individuals with our own unique stories. Whilst we’re different, we form a big rainbow together, which allows us to grow.

Where are the best places to go in Berlin for creative inspiration?
Berlin is a huge creative place, you can find creativity and inspiration everywhere. Keep your eyes open and you will find interesting patterns, colours and textures. For me personally, it’s nature where I calm down and the creativity can grow.

Top 3 places: Martin-Gropius Bau, Tiergarten and Haus am Waldsee.

In what ways has 2021 shaped, fuelled or informed your artwork and creative vision?
This was definitely a special year because there were new ways to show art and get in contact with other individuals. I got more into set design, especially for music videos — it’s a very interesting way for me to combine video production with my art. Now I can generate full spaces where people act and interact with my art and that makes me very happy.

How do you feel about your UO Pride window?
H A P P Y ! I’m very grateful and thankful that I have the opportunity to show my art and vision of “Rainbow of love” in such a big way and inspire other people!

My ultimate soundtrack to Pride would include… Saturday Night Fever. Following that with some iconic ABBA songs (I’m a true disco queen).

LGBTQIA+ artists we should follow… Photographer, Celeste Call @celestecall; filmmaker Cleo Claudine Spiro @cleoccult and 3D artist Niklas Jeroch @niklasjeroch.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“Be a mushroom” by Co-Star app. We all grow in different ways and times — there is no competition.
