Maz Ullah, digital creator and founder of Space Muslim Wellness tells us about the platform she has created. ‘A non-judgemental space to reconnect with our faith and reminders of how it connects us.’ Read on to find out more and see how you can get involved.

I started Space Muslim Wellness @spacemuslimwellness over a year ago, with the intention of having a space for people who want to learn more about the peace and tranquillity of Islam, through small reminders from an outside and inside perspective.
I’ve personally experienced a lot of judgement from within the Muslim community and outside the community about my faith, and I think that there needs to be a place for people to be able to just exist and learn along the way.
Currently I am working on a project called ‘Let’s Eat Together’ which is an online group chat with women wanting to share their Ramadan experiences together. A lot of us end up eating alone due to being far from our families or other external factors, so I wanted there to be a place where people could feel less lonely when breaking their fasts. We have fun, we joke, we laugh, we pray for each other and we play a game called ‘Rate My Plate.’
Muslim Sisterhood @muslimsisterhood is another platform that is doing so much for the community and I definitely take inspiration from them. They’ve created a great space for Muslim women to be seen. Some books I recommend are Secrets of a Divine Love and Reclaim Your Heart as they really capture the true core of what it means to really connect with your faith.
In the future I want to hold workshops to bring people together, tell our stories, and share how every person's connection with their faith is different yet somehow connects us all together.
I’m always thinking of new ways to bring people together so follow my Instagram page @mazullah and @spacemuslinwellness to stay in the loop. If you have any ideas or would like to collaborate on a project please reach out to me there.
