Hands up if you’ve worked on the sofa snuggled under a blanket, Zoomed with your pyjama bottoms on or switched your camera off to hide your messy room. All three? Us too. As working from home is still the new norm for many of us, it can be tricky to keep focused when your energy feels trapped in the same space. Here’s how some of us @ UO have designed home desk spaces, from sitting in front of a window for natural light, stocking up on inspirational wall art and compiling positive playlists, steal some ideas and find out how they’re making it work.

Desk Life: My desk is actually my patio table, as I wanted a break from my dining table. I love that I can sit in front of my window and look outside to help spark inspiration. I have a large book and magazine collection, so I like to keep books nearby to help inspire my work.

Desk Life: I like my desk to reflect my creative personality, it's always changing depending on what I'm working on (and it's always a little bit of a mess).

Desk Life: My desk defines me to a T - organised and coordinated. Tidy desk, tidy mind! This is also reflective of my job role and the organisation that comes with it.

Desk Life: I like to work in natural light (when possible) surrounded by loads of plants with good music in the background. I keep all my old magazines and loads of books to hand for inspiration. I'd like to say I’m super tidy but an organised mess is probably more realistic.
