I’m Damnshaq a 23 year old DJ amongst other random things from South East London, in life I’m inspired by my surroundings and my amazingly talented friends. Today I’m going to be showcasing three of them. So large up Urban Outfitters for the opportunity.
Best piece of advice I've ever recieved... was from my brother David Vujanić @dvjanic who gave me this advice back in 2017 and honestly it’s changed my life - just go with the flow.

Zero
The first friend I’m going to be spotlighting is my right hand Zero. We went to the Brit School together and since then I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him develop into one of my favourite film photographers.
He has a way of capturing the moment so perfectly that when you glance at the image afterwards you’re immediately transported to that day!
I throw a party called DAMNSHAQ’s House and from its creation he has been the one to snap the images as well as any other party I DJ at. In addition to this he is a part of the PAQ Works collective a bunch of crazy talented individuals from South London. They’ve created a new freestyle platform called “Rap In Paper” where you can see a lot of Zero’s work.
One of the main outputs of Zero’s that I love is his “Zero’s Essentials” that can be found on his Instagram. Whether it’s someone in the lime light or just one of his friends the images are always striking and memorable.

Caleb
Secondly, we have the multi-talented Caleb who is my brother from another. He has to be one of the hardest working people that I know. He’s a director, Screenwriter, manager amongst other things.
He has his own business called CTRL Productions which is a Social Media/Influencer Marketing company which specialises in creating culturally relevant content for young people. The beauty in this is that its content created for youth by the youth.
On top of this he has created some really unique music videos for the likes of Vibbar (the collective we are both a part of), Rasharn Powell, Lostpointofview, Maxi Millz and more. Not one of his videos looks like the other and that’s what I love about his work. He’s always trying to push himself to make something different from his last creation.
He’s also manages Jaffa Saba a young designer that can literally create anything whether it’s a toy of your favourite rapper or repurposing a pair of trainers into a wallet. He showcases on a daily bases there are no rules when it comes to creating which makes the pair an exciting duo.

Denaas
Last but not least we have the ever so talented Denaas! Her passion for the artform of DJ’ing is second to none, every set I’ve seen her do has been top tier. Shelling down dance after dance with ease.
The great thing about her is she has a vast catalogue of music. Whether she’s playing some underground Hip-Hop from the UK or she’s putting you on to a Swedish R&B singer from her home country Sweden, she is never lacking! You can check out her mixes on Soundcloud.
She’s a part of an all-female collective called CtrlShft LDN who specialise in artist management and events showcasing the latest UK underground sound. Not only that but they are all DJ’s as well which is so unique and are at the forefront of the UK’s club scene. They also do radio shows on Foundation FM and No Signal two of the UK’s leading internet radio stations.
