Houseplant Upgrade
“In the past few years houseplants have definitely taken over many rooms, looking around my flat now I couldn’t even imagine where I would have the space for another plant, let alone a Christmas tree! That’s why this year I am going to use the trees and plants I have already and decorate those instead of buying a Christmas tree that I would have to sadly discard in January.” - EMMA
What You Need:

1. Firstly grab yourself some battery operated fairy lights - these are perfect as they don’t heat up and you can hide the battery pack under a rock!
2. Wrap the fairy lights around larger cacti and the stems of your plants. Use fun baubles and hanging decorations to jazz up your larger plants - ensure the stems are strong enough to support heavier decs.
Tip: Add some extra string around the bauble and then attach this to the stems or alternatively you can gently slide the loops of the decs over the leaves to secure.

2. Cut the length of your bottom branch, ensuring that it’s an appropriate size for your wall.
3. Cut the rest of your wood slightly smaller than the last branch to create your hanging tree shape.
4. Lay out your branches with enough space to hang your enviable array of UO ornaments! Use natural hemp or twine string (both can be found in your local garden centre) to tie them in place, and leave a loop at the top.
5. Ensure each branch is secure and level so that your tree hangs straight. Wonky trees aren’t chic.
