NFT stands for non-fungible token. It’s a one-of-a-kind digital token created (or “minted”) and recorded on a digital ledger, called a blockchain. They’ve become a collectable digital asset that holds value, just like how physical art does.

They can be bought and sold like any other property, but they have no physical form. They can only have one official owner at a time and they're secured by the Ethereum blockchain, so no one can modify the record of ownership or copy and paste a new NFT into existence.

They can also act like tickets to a club, getting you exclusive access to various benefits or rewards.

You'll need a MetaMask wallet and you'll need to fill that wallet with Ethereum.

Don’t forget, if you want to purchase an NFT, you'll have to pay a gas fee which is shown in MetaMask along with the total amount. You can adjust the gas fee based on the transaction speed: high, medium or low.

A gas fee is something all users must pay in order to perform any function on the Ethereum blockchain.

These fees are used to compensate Ethereum miners for the energy required to verify a transaction and for providing a layer of security to the network by making it too expensive for malicious users to spam the network.

Ethereum is a cryptocurrency, like bitcoin or dogecoin, but its blockchain also supports these NFTs, which store extra information that makes them work differently from, say, an Ethererum coin.

Ethererum can be converted into standard currencies on cryptocurrency exchange spaces like Coinbase, Kraken and Gemini.

The “Smiley x André Saraiva, 50 years of Smiley” NFT Prize Giveaway (“NFT Giveaway”) means all Smiley x André Saraiva NFT holders are rewarded with UO REWARDS credit (“UO REWARDS”) and will have the opportunity to enter into a series of prize draws (“Prize Draws”) to win additional prizes (“Additional Prizes”) in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
   
   2. The promoters of the NFT Giveaway are URBN UK Limited of 1 Finsbury Circus, London, EC2M 7SH (company number 03124253), North&Touth Entertainment, LLC of 232 N.Crescent Dr.Ste #304 of Beverley Hills, California, 90210, USA and OMGDrops of 1267 WILLIS ST, REDDING, CA 96001 (together, “we, our, us”).
   
   3. By entering the NFT Giveaway, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
   
   4. The NFT Giveaway is open to all 500 purchasers of the Smiley x André Saraiva NFT (“NFT”) and includes all UK & EU residents aged 18 or over only, except for employees of Urban Outfitters Europe and their families, agencies or associates (“you, your, entrant”).
   
   5. Upon purchase of an NFT, the NFT Giveaway is then free to enter.
   
   6. Upon purchasing your NFT, you must click the “unlock/redeem” button and input your email address to be entered into the NFT Giveaway. You will then be notified about the upcoming Prize Draws via the email address you provide to us.
   
   7. All entrants will receive UO REWARDS credit, with the credit value chosen by random draws via a computer process (“UO REWARDS”).
   
   8. 150 entrants will receive £10 / 12 EUR of UO REWARDS credit.
   
   9. All remaining entrants will receive £5 / 6 EUR of UO REWARDS credit.
   
   10. The Prize Draws will be held during April – June 2022 during the specific entry periods (“Entry Periods”) specified within these Terms and Conditions.
   
   11. Prize Draw winners will be chosen by random draws via a computer process of all cumulative eligible entries that have been received by the deadline of each weekly Entry Period. Non-winning entries from each Entry Period will roll over into all subsequent Entry Periods.
   
   12. Prize Draw winners will be awarded their Additional Prize in addition to the UO REWARDS credit awarded as part of the NFT Giveaway.
   
   13. UO REWARDS credit and all Additional Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and non-negotiable. There is no cash alternative for UO REWARDS or Additional Prizes. We reserve the right to substitute the Available Prize for one of our choosing which has an equal value or a value greater than that of the Available Prize for reasons that are beyond our control. Winners are solely responsible for payment of any applicable taxes on Additional Prizes won.
   
   14. Each Prize Draw closes on the Thursday following the listed competition date at 23:59.
   
   15. Winners will be contacted via email by us by 24:00 on the day following each Entry Period closing.
   
   16. Winners have forty-eight (48) hours to respond to the email to claim their prize. If a winner fails to claim prize within forty-eight (48) hours, their entry is void and we will draw a new winner at random.
   
   17. All Additional Prizes will be sent out to the winner via post with the exception of the exclusive AirDrop art piece. Winners must provide a valid UK or EU address and contact number to us via email to receive their Available Prize.
   
   18. The AirDrop art piece will be delivered directly to the winner’s digital wallet. The winner must provide their digital wallet address to us via email be able to claim their prize.
   
   19. We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage caused to any Available Prize in the postal system.
   
   20. Incorrect and/or incomplete entries and entries submitted by entrants who do not meet the eligibility requirements are void. We accept no responsibility for entries that are not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.
   
   21. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, costs, expenses or claims (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) suffered by you or any third parties arising out of or in connection with the Prize Draw and/or your acceptance of an Available Prize.
   
   22. The NFT Giveaway is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with any Prize Draw (including all non-contractual disputes and claims) shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
   
   23. We comply with all applicable data protection law to ensure that the personal information you give us is kept secure and processed fairly and lawfully.
