Remastered and available here on vinyl, Horses in Patti Smith's debut studio album, first released in 1975. On the album, Smith said that it was an attempt "to make a record that would make a certain type of person not feel alone. People who were like me, different... I wasn't targeting the whole world. I wasn't trying to make a hit record." However, Horses was met with widespread critical acclaim, and was voted the 2nd best album of the year. Today, it is regarded as one of the key albums in influencing the punk movement at the time and for years to come.
