Fontaines D.C. return with their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, released via XL Recordings. Produced by James Ford, the album follows 2024’s acclaimed Romance and sees the band push beyond their guitar-led roots into something colder, darker and more synthetic.
Arriving with lead single "Marianne", Dopamine Chamber explores pleasure and escapism against a backdrop of AI, environmental collapse, political unrest and an increasingly digital world. Across the album, atmospheric synths, marching drums, samples, strings and anthemic melodies create a sound that feels both futuristic and unsettling.
Recorded between London, the English countryside and Palermo, the album marks the band’s boldest sonic shift yet.
