What’s a blind box?

A blind box is a packaged, sealed product with its content hidden, meaning you don’t know which character you’ve bought until you open it up. Intrigued? Keep reading… Blind boxes are often delivered in different series’, with each one following the same theme and offering a selection of collectable characters. Every blind box is assorted and picked completely at random, adding some excitement to your order each time. The mystery continues…
Where have they come from?

The blind box originates in 1980s Japan, where fukubukuro (‘lucky bags’) were sold in stores filled with mystery trinkets including toys, stationary, jewellery and electronic devices. Expanding globally into the world of toys, blind boxes began to showcase anime characters and figurines from the creative minds of popular East Asian artists.
