Where have they come from?
The blind box originates in 1980s Japan, where fukubukuro (‘lucky bags’) were sold in stores filled with mystery trinkets including toys, stationary, jewellery and electronic devices. Expanding globally into the world of toys, blind boxes began to showcase anime characters and figurines from the creative minds of popular East Asian artists.

The cherub’s catchphrase is "He may bring you happiness”, confirmed in the rise in Sonny Angel hauls and unboxings on TikTok when owners post pictures and videos of their mini figurines in destinations all over the world.
