5th Novemeber 2020 Keeping our community safe

We wanted to share an update on the measures we’re taking to keep our staff and community safe as the wellbeing of our team and our customers remains our number one priority.

Ordering Online It’s a busy time for online orders, and whilst this does mean that you may experience some slight delays, rest assured that we’ll be maintaining the strict health & hygiene standards we’ve put into place. We’re doing our best to get your order to you as soon as possible.

Delivery Wherever possible, we’d really appreciate it if you could opt to have your order delivered to a safe place, and minimise contact with our courier partners. You’ll receive a calling card once your parcel is delivered. If delivering to your door, couriers will knock and wait at a safe distance to ensure your parcel is received. They’ll also take your name rather than asking for a signature.

Our staff We’ve taken extreme care to ensure their safety of our staff working in our head office or in our distribution centre. In the distribution centre, we have introduced additional shifts, reduced our operational days and staggered break times to minimise the density of staff on site at any one time. In both locations, the recommended distancing guidelines are being observed through visual floor & wall markings, including in toilets and communal areas, and equipment is being sanitized before and after use.

We have implemented enhanced cleaning schedules, using exceptionally thorough standards of cleaning to ensure that all touch surfaces are cleaned and disinfected using non-harmful chemicals. We’ve placed hand sanitiser at each and every entrance and exit, and we are introducing a precautionary site-wide disinfection service to prevent any possible transmission.

7th May 2020 At Urban Outfitters, the safety and health of our employees and customers is paramount. As we reopen our stores to the public, we are committed to doing so as responsibly and safely as possible. The ways in which we interact with one another and our customers has significantly changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, certain policies and procedures have been modified, and new requirements introduced, to ensure we are adhering to applicable health and safety guidelines and local law. We’re continuing to make changes as quickly and reactively as we can, using updates in government advice to inform daily decision making. The wellbeing of our team and our customers remains our number one priority.

Ordering Online While our stores are closed, our website remains open. Returns We know that sometimes returns are unavoidable, and also that it might be difficult for you to return items right now. With this in mind, we’ve extended our returns policy to 60 days from purchase or receipt.

Our staff Any of our staff who are able to work remotely are already doing so. For those who are continuing to work in our distribution centre in order to keep our business running, we are immensely grateful, and we’ve taken extreme care to ensure their safety. Our Imagery Our photography studio is closed, and as such you’ll start to see a difference in the way we shoot our product, whether they’re low-fi shots of our community at home, or shot simply without models. We hope we can still bring you inspiration and some light relief during this difficult time.

Yes – the distribution centre are following all government recommendations on the safe handling of goods and can ensure we are doing everything we can to keep our customers safe.
