A-Z Festival Guide with Urban Outfitters

Festival season’s loading…and RIP to your group chat notifications. What are you packing? Are you bringing the tent or am I? Should I bring my lace-up boots or will I literally never wear them? We spoke to Urban Outfitters stylists Nicole & Sam to get their hot take on the summer trends that’ll be taking over your FYP and everything you need for festival season. From Indie Sleaze throwbacks to camping must-haves, here’s your ultimate guide to festivals.

A-Z Festival Guide
A - Ayker Hooded Windbreaker. Stylist Sam says “Pair with Ayker climber shorts, add Oakleys visor sunglasses, and a beanie or bucket hat. A plain tee underneath will do, as you're probably going to zip that bad boy up all the way to the top.”

B - Belt bags. Your festival bag may be one of the most important bits of kit on your list. It’s got to be small enough to survive the crowds and not whack anyone else as you shuffle through to the barrier, but big enough to house your portable charger, your SPF and your last nerve. We suggest a trusty belt bag.

C - Celeb Bingo. It’s not like you’ll ever be at a loose end at a festival, but if you need a little downtime between sets, playing Celeb Bingo is always a good idea. The biggest hitters? It’s got to be the Queen of Glasto, Kate Moss, and the Princess, Alexa Chung.

D - Dresses. This festival season, we’re going to be seeing a lot of bohemian paisley prints and sequin and bead detailing. As for the shape? Mini dresses and drop waist prairie maxi dresses should be on your radar.

Nicole says - “Team a mini dress with an embellished boho sling bag, vintage cap and slouchy buckle boots for the perfect festival fit.”

A-Z Festival Guide
E - Ed Hardy. From cami tops to graphic shirts and trucker caps, Ed Hardy is the mood this festival season.

F - Fringe everything. It’s a festival favourite for a reason. Fringe ponchos, shawls, jackets and tops should be on everyone’s packing list.

G - Graphic tees. Our top picks? The UO White Anyang Tank Top or for a clean, crisp option, the Dickies UO Exclusive Egret Massieville T-Shirt. In womenswear, we also love the UO Maybe Later Relaxed T-shirt. “Pair yours with a ruffle mini skirt, a utility pocket belt, a fun sequin bag and some techy sandals,” suggests Nicole.

H - Hand sanitiser. Seriously, don’t sleep on this one. Once you’ve seen the state of the portaloos, and more importantly their lack of soap, you’ll thank us.

I - Indie Sleaze. Picture the scene: it’s the early 00’s, Topshop Oxford Circus is the place to be, smudged kohl eyeliner is a non-negotiable and Effy Stonem is your style icon. Tap into the trend in 2026 by wearing a leather jacket. The more ‘beat up’, the better.

Summer 2026 Outfit Checklist
J - Joggers. Don’t forget to pack your iets frans... Harri Shrunken Cuffed Joggers for the ultimate festival comfort hack – they’re an elevated version of your tea-stained trackies you wear at home. Cropped and cuffed, wear them on the field with a baby tee and anklets on show.

K - Kodak Charmera Keyring For the memories.

L - Layered camis. We <3 the UO Navy Hello Kitty Cami. Layer it over one or two others for added detail.

M - Micro shorts. “Style your micro shorts in the daytime with your fave bikini top and a bright, embellished halter top. Throw cuffed joggers on top going into the evening and style with your fave techy sandal and lots of anklets..” adds Nicole.

N - Nelly. Kimchi Blue Nelly Tunic Top.

O - Out From Under Pearl Button Bikini Top

A-Z Festival Guide
P - Prairie rompers. “We love a prairie romper for dancing without the bare-all risk of a mini skirt,” says Nicole. “They're also perfect for a day-to-night, all-in-one outfit – just spice it up with different accessories, bangles, bags or a frogging jacket.”

Q - Quarterback football jerseys.

R - Rumours. Whispers about secret sets and surprise guests are relentless. Those pesky TBCs on the bill will have you up at night for weeks before you actually set foot on the field.

S - Sid. Specifically, [iets frans…Sid Joggers](. A great choice for any occasion, but especially for long coach rides to the campsite and chilly nights in your tent.

T - Tickets. If you’re hoping to go to any of the big hitters this year, you will need at least 7 laptops, a syndicate, Wifi that’s faster than the speed of light, and a hope and a prayer. Good luck out there.

A-Z Festival Guide
U - Umbro UO Exclusive Forest Green Checkerboard Shorts. Stylist Nikki suggests “Pairing your shorts with a T-shirt or button-down shirt, and finish with trainers.”

V - Vests.. An obvious festival staple. Layer yours with lots of chain necklaces..

W - Water Bottle. Not to sound like your Mum, but staying hydrated at a festival is the golden rule. No trips to the medical tents, please.

X - Xenon Anorak. The iets frans…Xenon Anorak is a true British festival staple. Light enough to give you some breathing space when the sun is shining, but equipped with a drawstring hood and cuffed sleeves to keep the inevitable downpour from ruining your day.

Y - Yellow, specifically, buttermilk yellow. It’s going to be THE shade of the summer.

Z - Zip through graphic hoodies. Wear them, tie them round your waist, drape them over your shoulders or use them to nap on when your energy levels are low.
