What’s the theme?
Issue 17 is all about REFLECTION. We’re inviting you to reflect on what you see and feel. What do you see in your mirror image? Inwards or outwards, think windows, water or light. Are you feeling observant? Reminisce on past or future experiences - where have you been or where are you going? Ask yourself when was the last time you did something you loved?
Unlock your creativity, start journaling and use art as a form of self-expression and therapy. Tell us what’s on your mind, it all starts with a submission…
How can I get involved?
Are you a student, graphic designer, photographer or artist? Do you DJ, write poetry or illustrate? Then we wanna hear from you! We accept anything visual or written… as long as it can be featured in print. From poems, journal entries, short stories and articles to photography, collage, graphic design, illustration, painting and sketching, even a link or QR code to a video, song or playlist.
How to apply:
• Please email your submission to: sheet@urbanoutfitters.com
• Use the subject line: SHEET 17 REFLECTION
• Include your name and pronouns.
• All successful creatives will receive a fee for their submission and be featured in print, with the chance to appear in our online and IRL exhibitions.
• FYI due to the quantity of submissions, we will only be able to respond to successful applicants.
What are the submission guidelines?
SHEET is a print magazine; therefore, all work must be submitted in a printable format. Please submit high-resolution JPEG or PDF files of at least 300dpi+.
• Artwork should fit within 323mm x 548mm.
• After the front cover slot? The dimensions are slightly slimmer at 545mm x 290mm in landscape.
• For written work, please submit as a Word document or PDF.
All work must be your own and not use or include any licensed imagery. Your submission will be rejected if it includes any of the below:
• Offensive language
• Inflammatory/defamatory content
• Imagery of smoking or drug and alcohol use
• Political symbols

As well as featuring in the issue you’ll have the chance to feature in the magazine plus potential social and blog content. Successful applicants may be contacted with a range of opportunities to create content that will promote your work.

Available for free in our stores, use SHEET to keep up to date with the latest goings on at UO, get inspired and repurpose the poster pages to decorate your space.

By submitting your work you agree to featuring your work in an online gallery. No fee will be paid for this. If you do not wish to be featured please specify clearly when submitting.
