Can I request an item be gift wrapped?

Yes! UrbanOutfitters.com offers two gift box options. For $4.00 per item, we'll wrap your gift in our tissue paper, seal it with an Urban Outfitters sticker and place it in a special Urban Outfitters box. Want to DIY? For $3.00 per item, you will receive all the materials mentioned above so you can wrap your gift on your own. To select this option, click Add Gift Option during checkout. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer gift wrap for orders shipped to addresses outside the US; we apologize for any inconvenience.

Will I be charged sales tax?

We are required to collect sales tax for deliveries to the following US states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, NE, NJ, NM, NY, NV, NC, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI + Washington DC. The tax rate applied to your order will generally be the combined state and local rate for the address to which your order is shipped. We are required to collect tax on shipping charges when applicable.

What is the status of my order?

Once an order is placed, you will receive an order number and a confirmation email with your order summary. Click here to check the status of your order. If you are a registered user, simply log in to your account. Guest users can enter their order number and billing zip code in the designated fields.

When will I be charged?

You will be charged when your order, or a portion of your order, has shipped. You will only be charged for the items that are shipped, along with applicable shipping and tax rates.

Every credit card and debit card is initially authorized (not charged) when an order is placed with Urban Outfitters. This authorization ensures the funds for the order are available. Your credit card or debit card is only charged for an order once the order has left our warehouse.

How do I track my order?

To track your order, please click here and enter your order number and billing zip code. You will then be able to view all of your order and shipping details.

I purchased an item on backorder – what now?

Sometimes, we have merchandise for sale which has not yet been received at our distribution center or which has sold out and is being restocked. However, you can still purchase these items in order to reserve your favorite color or size, and we'll ship them to you as soon as supplies are replenished. The expected ship date for backordered merchandise is listed when you add an item to your bag and at Checkout.

We do our best to keep these dates accurate, but please be aware that, in rare circumstances, we may experience delays. In this case, we will email you the new expected delivery date.

What qualifies as restricted merchandise?

We are unable to ship certain items outside of the contiguous US, including some home, beauty and other select products. These items will have a notation in the product details and in your shopping bag.

What qualifies as ground-restricted merchandise?

Some items can only be shipped via a ground shipping service and cannot be expedited or shipped outside of the contiguous US, including certain beauty products, and other select items. These items will have a notation in the product details and in your shopping bag.

Will I be charged duties and/or taxes for my international delivery?

Orders shipped via Standard or Economy can incur duties and taxes. Duties and taxes are determined by the customs agency within the destination country. Although charges are not always incurred, assessment of duties and taxes will be based on the value of the order and the tax-free threshold, if it exists, for goods imported into the destination country. Payment of any duties and taxes is the responsibility of the recipient, and these fees are collected at the time of delivery. More information can be obtained by contacting your local customs office.

Orders shipped via Express will not incur duties and taxes at delivery. These fees are included in your online shipping total.

What is California Proposition 65?
