Mis-shapes, mistakes, misfits. Raised on a diet of broken biscuits, oh. We don't look the same as you, we don't do the things you do, but we live around here too. Oh really? And so it started, some years ago. A party named after a song about not being invited to parties (and chocolates, but that's a different story - see J.C.'s forward). And good God was it something else - 3 years of costume, music and questionable behavior. Misshapes, we will miss you. But we'll always have our memories, and that's the point of this beautifully packaged book from MTV Press. Think of it as an exhibition catalog for a gallery show where the "art" is a collection of New York's finest freaks, dressed up, taking back the night and candidly photographed along the way. Also, not to lay this on too thick or anything, but Madonna's totally in this thing - one of a long list of celeb Misshapes believers that includes Michael Stipe, Yoko Ono and every skinny band dude you've ever seen. It's good, not so clean, voyeuristic fun! Imported. Wipe clean.
